Name: Jess Peck
Occupation: I dabble in a variety of part-time jobs, but am most excited about the prospect of being a budding writer.
Place of Residence: A little farmette right outside of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia
Background: I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I grew up in a really small and rural town. I studied communication in college because I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do. Soon after moving to Virginia for my husband’s job, we became interested in gardening. After we purchased our homestead and began doing more research on GMOs and the industrial food situation, our passion for gardening, farming and growing our own food grew immensely. It is now our goal to one day have our own farm, where we can grow and raise healthy and delicious food for ourselves, our families and our community.
Current Projects: There is always a running list of projects going on around our homestead, but currently the priority is starting an oyster mushroom business.
