Sage and Rosemary Hair Rinse for Dark Hair
By Jim Long
This is especially good for dark or gray hair. Rosemary is an herb that helps wash out shampoo and leaves the hair smooth and clean. While regular use will slightly darken the hair, you won’t be able to go from blond to brunette.
• 4 tablespoons dry sage leaves
• 4 tablespoons dry rosemary leaves
• 4 cups water (spring, well or bottled)
Bring water to a boil, shut off heat and add the herbs. Cover pan with a lid and let set for several hours. Strain, discarding herbs. Bottle and keep in the refrigerator.
To use, warm the rinse, wash hair as normal then pour the sage-rosemary rinse through the hair, and leave in or rinse out. Dry hair as usual.
