Hollyhock Tea

Hollyhock blossom tea has been popular in the United States since colonial times.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 hollyhock flowers
  • 1 cup boiled water
  • Canning jar with lid
  • Honey (optional)

Directions

  • Remove the petals from 3 to 4 hollyhock flowers and place in a canning jar.
  • Pour hot water over the petals, and place a lid on the jar.
  • Allow to steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Strain and enjoy with a bit of honey if you desire. This can be served warm for a sore throat or iced for a refreshing summertime drink.
