Hollyhock blossom tea has been popular in the United States since colonial times.
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 hollyhock flowers
- 1 cup boiled water
- Canning jar with lid
- Honey (optional)
Directions
- Remove the petals from 3 to 4 hollyhock flowers and place in a canning jar.
- Pour hot water over the petals, and place a lid on the jar.
- Allow to steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Strain and enjoy with a bit of honey if you desire. This can be served warm for a sore throat or iced for a refreshing summertime drink.
