Salsa verde is an easy-to-make snack for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 pound tomatillos, husked, washed and halved
- 2 small jalapeño chilies, seeded and halved
- 1/2 small red onion
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 large ripe avocado
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt
Directions
- Place tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, garlic and cilantro in the bowl of a food processor. Process until everything is finely chopped. The mixture will be a liquid.
- Pulse for ten seconds, or until sesame seeds are slightly pulverized.
- Store in an airtight container and use within a few months. To serve, sprinkle shiso seasoning on dishes of your choice.
