Heirloom Gardener has explored the rich past and traditional uses of time-tested plants for the past 15 years, and we have done so through the traditional print medium. Now, readers can access our time-honored content in a timely new way.
Our print format continues to serve our readers well, but for those who prefer using their smartphones or tablets to read and share information on the go, we’re happy to announce a new app that makes favorite issues and articles from Heirloom Gardener available at the click of a button or tap of a finger.
The Heirloom Gardener app is available on Amazon, Apple App Store, and Google Play. Its interface is sleek and simple to navigate, which makes reading, saving, and sharing articles much easier than photocopying a print clipping.
After downloading the app, select the “existing subscribers” button on the app’s main screen. You’ll be prompted to enter your customer/account number, as well as your email address and zip code that are registered to your account. More detailed instructions can be found here. Once you log in, you’re all set to access the magazine.
Use more than one mobile device or tablet? Not a problem. Just repeat the log-in steps with the same information on each device and you’ll be able to read Heirloom Gardener on whatever platform suits your fancy.
In addition to being easily accessible, the Heirloom Gardener app has tons of neat features. Tap once while reading to scroll through the issue’s pages. Tap and hold to see the clickable links on the page. These links to related content are scattered throughout the issue, and other helpful links on the app’s main page can take you to Heirloom Gardener’s website, Instagram, and Facebook pages to explore more.
If you see a recipe that your mother would love or a feature you want to read later, sharing and saving is simple. Tap two fingers on the article and drag your fingers outward to enlarge the box until the entire article is encompassed. A menu at the bottom of your screen will give you the option to post what you’ve selected to social media, save it to your camera roll, or email or text it to a friend.
A one-year digital subscription, which includes four issues, is $19. You can also buy a print and digital subscription bundle for $24 a year. To receive step-by-step instructions about how to download your digital subscription, visit Heirloom Gardener.
