Store this tooth powder in an airtight container to keep it fresh.

• 2 tablespoons dried lemon rind
• 1/4 cup baking soda
• 2 teaspoons salt
• 2-3 drops mint essential oil (or 1 teaspoon dried mint leaves)

Combine the ingredients in a blender; a food processor doesn’t work well. Process until the dried lemon rind (and dry mint leaves, if using) is a fine powder, and add the remaining ingredients. Store in an airtight container.

To use, pour a little into your hand and rub a moistened toothbrush into it, then brush your teeth.
